π± Small Farm Start-up School Launches April 2026
Are you ready to take the leap into farming? The Florida Cooperative Extension Small Farm Start-up School is now enrolling for its 9-week intensive program designed to equip aspiring farmers with real-world knowledge and hands-on experience.

Dates: April 14 β June 23, 2026
π Weekly Virtual Classes: Tuesdays, 6:00β8:00 p.m. EST
π² Cost: $299 (covers 1β2 people per farm)
π Includes: Local farm tours, guest expert panels, business planning tools, printed resources, and a final networking event
π Topics Include:
Business & financial planning
Soil, water, and climate fundamentals
Livestock and crop production
Infrastructure, regulations, and marketing
E-commerce strategies
Participants will graduate with a ready-to-implement farm business plan and fulfill USDA Farm Service Agency borrower training requirements.
