Wonderfully Prepared

Business & Industry Emergency Readiness and Recovery

WonderFully Prepared is WWEDA’s business continuity and resilience program—built for the day you hope never comes. From looming hurricanes to sudden snowstorms, it gives Walton County companies a direct lifeline to real-time information, critical resources, and a network of peer support when operations are most at risk. The program operates compliments the county’s Emergency Support Function 18 (ESF-18) framework.

Why We Care if You’re WonderFully Prepared

Walton’s economy is wonderfully diverse—tourism, manufacturing, agriculture, tech start‑ups, and more. Every one of those employers is critical to our residents’ livelihoods and to a speedy recovery after a storm. By implementing our WonderFully Prepared program, we can:

  • Blend economic‑development intelligence with emergency intelligence to protect both people and paychecks.

  • Cut red tape for businesses by providing a single point of contact for preparedness guidance, disaster updates, and recovery resources.

  • Mobilize private‑sector assets (equipment, facilities, expertise) when the County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) needs extra muscle.

ESF‑18 Business Registry – Your Fast Pass to Information & Aid

Registering your company is the most important step you can take right now. It costs nothing and unlocks:

  1. Priority Communications – customized for the business community.

  2. Damage & Needs Portal Access – A secure link to report operational status and request business assistance.

  3. Mutual‑Aid Matching – Optionally list any resources (trucks, warehouse space, skilled crews) you’re willing to lend or donate during response.

Safety first: Offering resources is always voluntary and never obligates you to respond. Checking the “assist if needed” box simply tells us you’re open to a call.
